Vendor agreement

Last updated: August 2025

1. Vendor partnership

This vendor agreement governs your participation as a vendor on the EthnoPlace marketplace. By registering as a vendor you agree to these terms.

2. Vendor eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), have the legal capacity to enter agreements, provide accurate registration information, and comply with applicable laws.

3. Product requirements

Products must be authentic cultural items or contemporary interpretations of cultural traditions, accurately described, your own creation or legally sourced, and meet appropriate quality standards.

4. Prohibited items

You may not list items that misrepresent cultural traditions, mass-produced items falsely marketed as handmade, items that infringe intellectual property, illegal items, or counterfeit items presented as authentic.

5. Store management

Vendors must maintain accurate listings, process orders promptly, provide excellent customer service, honor return policies, and maintain appropriate inventory.

6. Commission and fees

EthnoPlace charges a commission on each completed sale. Current rates and fees are listed in your vendor dashboard and may be updated with notice.

7. Payment terms

Payouts run according to the schedule in your vendor dashboard. Vendors are responsible for accurate payment information and tax documentation.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your products and their related intellectual property. You grant EthnoPlace a non-exclusive license to display and market the products on the platform.

9. Cultural sensitivity

Vendors must respect cultural traditions. EthnoPlace may remove products or suspend vendors that violate the cultural sensitivity guidelines.

10. Quality standards

EthnoPlace maintains quality standards for listings. We may review products, request additional information, or remove listings that do not meet our standards.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with reasonable notice. EthnoPlace may suspend access immediately for material breaches.

12. Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to vendors at least 30 days before they take effect where reasonable.
